Installation

The installation of the SYSBAL S1 devices can be roughly divided into 3 primary mechanisms of audio equipment: players, amplifiers, and speakers.

Make sure that the logo plate is on top or the letters “SYSBAL S1” on all your devices are not upside down before placing them between your audio equipment and a supporting surface.

Installing a 4-piece S1 so that the entire S1 is in full contact with the audio equipment and supporting surface is more difficult than installing a 3-piece S1.

Installing the SYSBAL S1 devices to players and amplifiers

You can choose at least three S1 devices to support each player and amplifier in your system by opting for a 3-piece Type-F or Type-A set without thread adapters. The placement of each S1 should have a similar load average to ensure stable balance of the player and amplifier.

If you wish to use four S1 devices, you should select at least one S1 Type-A device to level and tighten the locking ring to prevent loosening when the S1 Type-A device touches the player or amplifier and touches the supporting surface. You can opt for a 4-piece set consisting of 3 Type-F and 1 Type-A, or opt for a 4-piece Type-A set without thread adapters, as the vibrations of the player and amplifier are not as powerful as the speakers.

Installing the SYSBAL S1 devices to speakers

The S1 can be installed in a 4-piece or a 3-piece set with each loudspeaker. If the 4-piece set is selected, a 4-piece set that includes 3 Type-F and 1 Type-A or all Type-A units can be selected.

If choosing the 3-piece set, you can choose either 3 Type-F or 3-piece Type-A with a threaded adapter that is threaded to match the speaker’s existing spikes. The installation steps are as follows:

  1. Remove the logo plate (1) by prying the edge with a needle.
  2. Attach the thread adapter (2) by turning the M5 male thread to the M5 female thread at the top of the SYSBAL S1 and tighten it using a flat-blade screwdriver.
  3. Remove all original spikes or feet from the speaker.
  4. Turn the SYSBAL S1 so that the adapter threads replace the original spikes or feet until they are tight.
  5. Place the speakers that are already installed with the SYSBAL S1 on a supporting surface and position them for the best sound.
  6. Hold the retainer (6) and use the 3 mm rod (3-1) to rotate the height adjuster (4) at the bottom end of the SYSBAL S1 Type-A until the bottom end touches the supporting surface. If you choose to use 4-piece Type-A set, the speaker should be leveled so that the top plane is horizontal.
  7. Hold the retainer (6) and use another 3 mm rod (3-2) to tighten the locking ring (5) against the height adjuster (4) to prevent loosening.

If the S1 3-piece set is selected, the first two S1s can be installed in place of the existing speaker spikes at either the front or rear positions of each speaker. The third S1 can be placed in the center of the remaining front or rear spikes without the need for a thread adapter.
